Summary Generated by Built In

Hi there, Gen is looking for new engineers. We are offering students an opportunity to learn how security software is developed. We can help you to understand how Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) and WebView2 work together with Windows desktop applications. You will see how the C++ world is connected with JavaScript and how we can do a nice and cool user interface. We care about millions of Windows users using our antivirus. Are you curious about how the detection dialogs work? Do you want to see how a virus scanner finds and eliminates threats? We can show you.
About the role

You will start by exploring our applications (Avast, AVG, Norton or Avira AV for windows), focusing on how our UI reporting works. You will investigate its implementation, understand the underlying processes, verify its accuracy, and learn where to locate the relevant data.

As you progress, you will become familiar with our UI repository (JavaScript) and collaborate with the analytics team to define reporting requirements. You will implement reporting solutions, analyze data, and ensure accuracy. Additionally, you will maintain documentation and communicate with analysts across different teams to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness.

If you enjoy working with data, improving UI reporting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams, we’d love to hear from you!
This full-time internship runs from 1st July to 30th September and is primarily on-site at our offices in Prague or Brno.
