As a Software Engineering Intern at Lean, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our experienced engineers and gain hands-on experience in professional software development, delivering real enhancements for our clients. You will master the technologies, tools and processes that we use at Lean, along with gaining an understanding of our industry and empathy for our clients and their end-users.
You will be supported closely by a dedicated mentor, your team and your manager, who will work with you on setting and tracking personal development goals. The internship is designed to be the perfect stepping stone on your career journey and we hope it leaves you wanting to join us as a full time employee!

Responsibilities:

Adapt to and learn the tools, programming languages, and workflows used by the team.

Participate in daily team activities such as stand-ups, planning sessions, and reviews to align with deliverables and deadlines.

Design, develop, test and debug software enhancements in collaboration with your mentor.

Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and contribute to maintaining robust, scalable codebases.

Contribute to company culture by getting involved in events, not just in your team but in the broader organization too.
Requirements:

Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Strong passion for software development and eagerness to learn.

Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, or similar.

Basic understanding of software development principles, methodologies, and best practices.

Good problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Our backend engineers mostly work with Java Spring Boot, Postgresql, Kafka and Redis. But don't be off if you don't have lots of experience with those technologies - the most important thing is that you're enthusiastic and quick to learn.
