DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Participate in planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solutions to develop software applications. Participate in design reviews and provide input to information and data flow for software application development. Perform Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. Work with the design development and testing of IT Control Policies. Incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications, document the detailed application specifications, translate technical requirements into programming reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined programming-related issues and review and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Identify and troubleshoot application programming-related issues and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation. Work with the test team to ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations and assist in project planning and tracking activities, as well as in production support triaging activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Architect, Associate Software Engineer, Associate - Projects, I.T Analyst, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Required Experience with the following: cloud computing applications and platforms, and application modernization; Analyzing Business scope and requirements for providing technical solutions; proof of concept and general technical designs on critical and complex requirement; Unit testing the application programming using Junit techniques and validating restful web service using tools such as Swagger, PostMan and Rest Chrome; work allocation, tracking daily activities of the team; Prepare the templates for the functional specification review, technical specification review, unit test cases review; Define and guide the team to use Atlassian ALM Tool experience such as Jira, Confluence, bit bucket, Source tree, bamboo. Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) using Pivotal Cloud foundry and RESTful Web Services using Spring Boot; Maven, Gradle, Angular JS, Data Access Objects and latest Java Enterprise Edition technologies like Java Persistence application programming interface and Java application programming interface for RESTful Web Services; Java, J2EE , Java Script, JSP, HTML, Hibernate, Ibatis, Struts, Spring MVC, Websphere, Tomcat, Oracle, Ant , Hudson, Jenkins, SVN, HP Quality Center, Jasper, IText, and UNIX Scripting.
Job Location: 405 Colorado St. Austin TX 78701. This position requires up to 10% domestic travel.
