The Homeland and Force Protection Business Area is looking for a Software Engineer to support Counter-small Unmanned Aerial Systems (C-sUAS) projects with our Air Force customer. Our team is focused on providing engineering and integration support throughout the entire kill chain to 20+ C-sUAS sites globally. The primary project focus for this role is a C-sUAS software integration and cloud deployment effort.
The Software Engineer will support the program remotely but may require limited travel to the National Capital Region (NCR). As a Software Engineer, the ideal candidate will be capable of executing independent projects or collaborating with a variety of teams consisting of customer and Leidos personnel. The candidate will be responsible for technical tasks including but not limited to creating and deploying Linux based containers to a cloud environment, software design and development, software integration testing and evaluation. This position will require close coordination with program management, engineering staff, and customer stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities:

Develop software adapter to facilitate communication from devices to external tools

Perform cyber hardening on developed software

Author technical documentation related to developed software

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:

BS degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or MS with less than 4 years of prior relevant experience

Must have knowledge with Java

Must be a US Citizen

Must possess an active Secret clearance

Must have experience executing projects through all stages of the Software Engineering Lifecycle

Must be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the C-sUAS Domain

Understanding of Linux Containers

Understanding of Cloud Technology and Architecture

Understanding of Python

Experience designing and working with service-oriented software architecture

Experience using Atlassian Suite of software tools

Pay Range:Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
