Software Engineer
$68,103 / year minimum starting pay

Position located in Columbia, Missouri
What You Will Be Doing:
Develop, test, maintain and document software to meet the needs of our business community. Work with other engineers, analysts, and business users to ensure applications meet required criteria for performance and results. Mentor other Associate and Part-time Software Engineers on core coding principles and tool usage.
What We're Looking For:
- Basic knowledge of object-oriented development and modern programming languages.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related degree or job-related experience.
- Enthusiasm for software development and innovation.
- Superior written, oral, and presentation skills, with the ability to utilize video conferencing to collaborate with a team.
- Responsible for highly accurate work and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with business and technical partners and external stakeholders.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Be available to work on-site a minimum of three days per week.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Shelter maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in geographic location, education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Please remember that this range is the starting base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position.
