Software Engineer

Job Description
DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field of study plus 7 years of experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, IT Consultant, Technical Lead, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires 7 years of experience in the following: Designing and developing in Java, J2EE, and Spring ecosystem. Requires any amount of experience in the following: Delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability; Python development in AWS environment; Database products such as Oracle and Postgres; HTML; Using React or Angular for UI development; JQuery; NodeJS; CSS; Setup, configuration and administration of SonarQube; Using software architecture principles and design patterns; Implementing Microservices using Spring Boot and Event-Driven architecture; Designing and developing using the AWS services; Automation and continuous delivery methods; All aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle; Agile methodologies such as Cl/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security; Developing and using flexible and extensible UI module integrated with Web APl's and messaging such as REST and JSON; Web services and API integration; and Performing tests including Junit, Automated Testing, Functional Testing, Manual Testing, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, System Integration Testing, Unit Testing, User Acceptance Testing, and White Box Testing.
