Who you'll work with:
The Private Wealth Technology supports the Private Wealth Sales, Institutional Sales, Wealth Management, Marketing and Operations departments. This role is within the Equity Investment Management Technology (EIMT) group which is responsible for the Private Client Portfolio Management system known as SPSR. SPSR is used by the Private Client Portfolio Management team to manage and invest over 47,000 private client accounts with roughly $100 billion in assets under management. The SPSR system is comprised of numerous automated processes that continuously analyze and rebalance AB’s Private Client portfolios using highly quantitative tools and portfolio optimizations that leverage AB’s proprietary research models and algorithms. In addition to the automated rebalancing and trading processes, the SPSR system provides interactive tools that the Associate Portfolio Managers use on a daily basis for handling account-specific activities such as individual account optimizations, asset mix changes and new account investments.
What you'll do:
This position will be responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, deploying, and supporting the SPSR system described above. The candidate will work on strategic and tactical projects to enhance system capabilities while continuing to support existing processes. In addition to designing and implementing software, this candidate will be expected to partner closely with business users to gather requirements and support time-sensitive requests for information. The ideal candidate must have at least 3 to 5 years of C++, or C# experience as well as significant SQL development experience.

Work closely with Portfolio Managers to understand their needs and formulate solutions.

Translate raw data into useful information to fulfill time-sensitive business needs.

Design, implement, and maintain software using SQL, C/C++, and C#.

Coordinate and oversee the quality assurance and user acceptance testing phases.

Ultimately responsible for the success of the projects and tasks assigned.

Support the operation of the portfolio management system to ensure that trades are executed correctly and on-time.
What we're looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.

3 to 5 years of experience in C/C++.
-
3 to 5 years of experience in C# including .NET, Winforms, and ASP.NET.

1-2 years SQL including stored procedures and table design.

Experience using Visual Studio, git, Azure Devops, VScode, Azure Data Studio, SQL Server Management Studio is a plus.

Solid analytical and trouble-shooting skills

Graphical user interface design and development

Strong objected oriented analysis and design

Very strong written and oral communication skills (absolute necessity)

Wealth/Investment Management process and data domain knowledge is a plus
