What You Will Be Doing:

If you’re the kind of coder that loves parsing, transformations, regex, Xpath, traversing DOMS and creating innovative apps and scripts comsuming multiple APIs, then we have an amazing position for you. In this role you’ll be exposed to cutting edge linguistic technologies working alongside industry leading engineers, product managers and architects, in a culture of respect and openness. It’s the kind of role where you’ll have direct access to the users and will be able to see your work making a difference in real time.

Responsibilities:

• Create, maintain and improve file parsers which allow a variety of formats to pivot to and from bilingual XLIFF
• Create, roll out and maintain standalone web applications which consume APIs from our core technologies such as GlobalLink Project Director and GlobalLink Translation Memory Server
• Design and develop innovative new functionality based on use cases from colleagues in the Solutions, Support Engineering, Product Management and Development teams
• Research possible solutions for identified gaps to streamline functionality
• Own and drive larger initiatives, including defining milestones and deliverables and progress reporting

Who We Are Looking For:
Your experience includes:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field 
• Work experience in software development using Java and scripting languages
• Excellent software troubleshooting skills
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Good knowledge of Java and Python
• Some knowledge of regex and Xpath
• Some knowledge coding against REST APIs
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Familiar with JIRA
• Good working knowledge of Linux
• Ability to manage and work on multiple projects
• Outstanding time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as being a team player
• Curiosity about learning new skills
