Junior Software Engineer

Belay Technologies is seeking an ambitious Junior Software Engineer to join our intel team. You will be supporting CNO's Emerging Open-Source Activities (EOSA) branch in their mission to integrate publicly available information (PAI) and open-source technologies into CNO. The customer is interested in identifying new opportunities to support the broader organization. The ideal candidate is someone who is excited to meet new people, understand their mission, and improve workflows. This mission requires flexible individuals capable of working in both classified and unclassified environments to understand and achieve mission outcomes. 
Qualifications: 

• TS/SCI Clearance with polygraph
• 3 years of experience with a B.S. in a technical discipline or 4 additional yrs. in place of B.S.

Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of enterprise-grade software solutions
• Build and maintain java-based REST APIs
• Adhere to leading design patterns to ensure the products scalability and maintainability 
• Work regularly with stakeholders to understand the domain, elicit requirements, and devise solutions
• Develop and optimize various extract/transform/load (ETL) services
• Become proficient with the projects graph database and develop complex database queries 

Skills:

• Java
• Git
• Maven (or similar build automation/dependency management tools)
• Development in Linux environment
• Willingness to learn
• Proficiency in at least one of the following:
  • Modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.Js, React, Angular, etc.)
  • Spring (Boot, Rest/MVC)
  • NoSql DBs (Mongo, ElasticSearch, Redis, Graph DB, etc.)
  • Apache NiFi

Salary Range: $70,000 to $190,000
