Zoox is looking for a highly motivated software engineer to join our Advanced Hardware Engineering team and focus on building an automated test system for emulating various sensors. In this role, you will architect, design, code, document and lead the work from start to finish.
In This Role, You Will:
- Develop and maintain production-quality C++ code for Linux user space applications
- Create Python solutions for system integration, test automation, and performance testing
- Design and execute comprehensive verification strategies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance validation capabilities and testing infrastructure
Qualification
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 4+ years of industry experience
- Strong programming expertise in C++ and Python, with experience in Linux development, networking, and socket programming
- Experience with build systems and version control
- Experience with hardware/software integration testing
- Experience with Linux networking and debugging network-related issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Bonus Qualification
- Experience with real-time, low-latency, safety-critical systems
- Experience with writing Linux device drivers
- Experience with designing and implementing custom Verilog RTL for Xilinx FPGAs
- Experience with embedded software design for ARM cores on Xilinx and Xilinx SDK
- Experience with Precision Time Protocol and Automotive Ethernet
- Working knowledge of schematic design and PCB layout tools
Compensation
There are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $182,000 to $233,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. The salary range listed in this posting is representative of the range of levels Zoox is considering for this position.
