The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $93,750 - $143,750 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:
What You'll Do In This Role:
- Lead the development and configuration of software for our AGF traffic controller and warehouse manager.
- Deploy proprietary software seamlessly to customer servers.
- Troubleshoot and investigate customer inquiries related to potential software issues.
- Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical specifications and test plans.
- Set up servers and PCs, installing software on both physical and virtual environments.
- Collaborate extensively with various team members including Software Engineers (onboard, offboard, RSD), Customer Service Engineers, Mechatronic Engineers, and Project Managers.
- Explore new technologies through in-house and external courses, ensuring you stay ahead in your field.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of experience in a software engineering role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio .NET, C#, C/C++, and experience with source control tools like TFS or Git.
- Familiarity with databases such as MS-SQL and Oracle.
- A quick learner who can navigate new software and configurations with ease.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, including firewalls and network protocols.
- Knowledge of material handling systems, specifically AGF/AGV and WMS.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Visio.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows server and desktop environments.
- Familiarity with server hardware and virtualization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs and I/O modules is a plus.
- Possess strong training skills, able to guide users and create comprehensive user manuals and help files. Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience.
- Up to 25% travel (including international). Extended travel may be required with in first 6-12 months for training.
- Desired: advanced-level experience in related field and successful demonstration of responsibilities to be managed independently.
