Who you are:

As a Software Engineer III at Frost, you are our code guru, not only writing code but understanding the "why" behind it. Our software engineers believe in collaboration, ingenuity, and truly want to drive design and change in the IT realm. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, writing, testing, implementing, supporting, and documenting solutions for assigned programs and applications across the organization. You welcome a challenge and want to provide next level experiences to every individual that uses our systems.

What you’ll do: 

  • Maintain IBM Planning Analytics suite of applications and associated interfaces

  • Architect and design new features in existing applications to meet the given requirements

  • Enhance existing functionalities to meet the given requirements

  • Develop custom reporting and user interfaces as per business requirements

  • Interact with application users and support them by developing new solutions, updating, or upgrading existing solutions, fixing issues in existing solutions based on the requirements

  • Explore possibilities of integrating Planning Analytics and Cognos Analytics with new systems

  • Serve as technical lead on the most demanding, cross-functional finance-related projects

  • Perform Unit testing and System Integration testing

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or directly related field

  • 4 years experience in job offered or 4 years experience in related occupation in understanding of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures associated with programming: Independently identifying issues across interrelated programs and systems and develop the appropriate solutions; collaborating with other implementation partners in design and development of various TM1 solutions to ensure timely and effective delivery of project deliverables. Using Cognos Analytics reports to create various reports and Cognos Analytics event studio to schedule conditional rendering of them. Monitoring scheduled jobs and setting access permissions of users and folders in Cognos analytics administration console. Setting and maintaining various data source connections such as TM1 and ODBC in Cognos Analytics data server connections. Maintaining various static assets such as fonts and logos to maintain consistent look of reports, transferring them from archive to cloud servers using FileZilla when required. Writing PowerShell, batch scripts to take daily, monthly backups of the servers, send out automated emails, transfer files between cloud drives and FTP folders and archiving server logs. Maintaining Teradata database client drivers up to date in both Planning Analytics and Cognos Analytics servers to ensure continuous connectivity and secure gateway servers and VPN connections to ensure secure data transfer between on premise and cloud. Evaluating TM1 turbo integrator processes and rules and monitoring memory and disk usage periodically to ensure optimal performance of the system is achieved. Ensuring security processes and web sheets are working correctly to make sure end users are granted with right access to TM1 objects. Creating schedulers in TM1 to run down stream jobs by continuously monitoring Informatica jobs for their completion. Experience may be gained concurrently
