As a Software Engineer III - Smart DX / Thunderhead Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank - Markets Technology Team, you'll execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. You'll be a part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintenance of high quality Thunderhead/SmartDX templates across OTC, Rates, Derivatives and Structured Securitization products
- Work on Thunderhead/SmartDX Release management and Regression testing
- Work on SmartDX API to create new job.
- Work on Java Script to build scripts.
- Handle UAT testing on linked applications impacting Thunderhead/SmartDX Templates
- Handle stakeholder's interaction for business requirements at all stages of the development lifecycle
- Debug, conducting gap analysis and requirements gathering.
- Work on MIS Reporting and perform analysis on template breaks
- Drive project initiatives to increase efficiency.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Prioritizing work loads in a multi-client environment where demand exceeds supply.
- Control mindset to identify process control gaps, prioritize & mitigate operational risk
- Proactive in problem solving and developing solutions
- Technical Experience in Java, XML/XSLT, SQL, Java Scripting, Unix/Linux.
- Understanding and practical experience of front to back business processes in OTC & Securitized derivative products.
- Experience in a Thunderhead / SMART DX Developer role.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Equities and Derivatives experience in a global financial institution, preferably in a mix of business and technical capacities.
- Technical Experience in WordML.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science
