As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
- Conduct thorough testing of Web, Desktop & mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms.
- Develop, document, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback.
- Design, develop, and maintain Test automated scripts for applications such as Mobile, Web, Desktop applications
- Develop and execute automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using bug tracking tools.
- Design Test Automation framework from scratch
- Perform hands-on performance testing such as Load runner or Jmeter
- Gain hands-on experience on API testing and ability to write Jmeter script'.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
- Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
- Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Appium, Selenium, XCUITest, Saucelabs etc.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java , Python or C#
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket
- Strong understanding of mobile application development and testing processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Has the ability to design Test automation framework from scratch
- Experience with Linux and shell scripting
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Nice to have exposure on performance testing tools like Load runner, Jmeter
- Hands on experience in mobile app test automation, preferably with both iOS and Android platforms.
