As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Infrastructure Platform technology team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role.
In Infrastructure Platform Architecture our goal is to accelerate our evolution into a software-based infrastructure, creating the policies, tools and processes that our development teams can leverage. Infrastructure Platform Architecture - delivers innovative, high quality, cost effective, fit-for-purpose infrastructure technology solutions for application partners firm wide. You will work as part of a strong, supportive team to facilitate governance tools and the application of solutions based on our long-term strategy, while supporting the organization towards a strategic target state.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack applications with a focus on AWS / Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- Collaborate with team members to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Support the implementation and management of AWS services to support application infrastructure and deployment.
- Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces using modern frameworks and libraries.
- Ensure application security, performance, and reliability through best practices and testing.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the stack in a timely manner.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in full-stack development, with a focus on cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.js.
- Basic back-end development skills in languages such as Node.js, Python, or Java.
- Familiarity with AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway.
- Understanding of database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Good knowledge on leveraging AI/ML tools.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Certified Developer certification.
- Experience with serverless architecture and event-driven programming.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
