As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Employee Platforms. You will be a part of Oracle e-Business Suite Applications (Oracle Incentive Compensation) as a configuration analyst. Understand comprehensive plan requirements and translate designs into working solutions while maintaining and troubleshooting existing system plans.
Job responsibilities
- Require an analytical and technical background, with the ability to adhere to Agile Methodology best practices and conform to strict timelines.
- Expertly analyze incentive plans and transform them into business rule architecture in Oracle ICM calculation design.
- Understand, identify, and evaluate various data sources; negotiate and contract data transmissions from PeopleSoft and other systems for integration into Incentive systems.
- Create best practice documentation for Oracle ICM incentive plan implementations.
- Collaborate closely with Reporting, Data Integration, Production Support, and Administration teams to design efficient and scalable calculation solutions.
- Design analytical reports for Incentive Plan effectiveness to provide a dynamic end-user experience.
- Provide functional, technical design, and operational documentation deliverables.
- Coordinate effectively with offshore and onshore teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Create complex queries using PL/SQL for research and table navigation.
- Work closely with the Project Management team to meet deadlines and deliverables in a dynamic environment.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Must collaborate with other teams to align with Agile methodologies
- Accumulate 6+ years of experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including testing, tuning, and debugging queries and programs, or in programming using SQL skills and database design.
- Excel in Microsoft Excel for creating analytical reports and using complex formulas and macros.
- Experience working with large teams leveraging SDLC and/or Agile Methodologies, and deliver quality code with proper documentation within specified timelines.
- Strong experience in Oracle e-Business Suite Applications (Oracle Incentive Compensation) or other rule-based configuration systems.
- Gain hands-on experience in the Oracle Incentive Compensation module, including source data mapping, resource roles, resource groups, expressions, plan elements, compensation plans, classification rules, reporting metrics, and custom programs.
- Gain exposure to Oracle Database architecture or other database architectures, and understand data warehouse models and concepts (facts, dimensions, etc.), with experience in designing, querying, and reporting from data marts.
- Utilize experience with Tableau, Oracle Reports, and/or other visualization and reporting tools.
- Develop required soft skills.

- Communicate effectively, translating knowledge across all organizational levels.
- Focus on assigned work items and manage multiple high-priority deliverables.
- Coordinate work efforts with offshore/onshore development teams across different time zones to complete important tasks.
- Demonstrate proven experience working on large, enterprise-wide projects.
