Our team members are motivated individuals who help each other do remarkable things daily. We face unique technical challenges at scale, and we solve those as a team. Together, we deliver innovative and ethical solutions that transform how the world pays.
We took a new approach to starting a payments company, building a platform from scratch. Now, Adyen serves the world's brightest companies like Meta, Uber, L'Oreal, Casper, Etsy, and Spotify.
The North America Card Payments Team
The Card Payments team works on all North American card networks, including American Express, NYCE, STAR, PULSE, Accel, Interac and Mastercard (Maestro). The team is responsible for maintaining these connections, and adding value to our merchants by adding new functionality. These connections are used millions of times per day, processing significant volume for our merchants. As a Java Engineer in this team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing technical changes. You will also be working closely with the product team to understand and scope changes for our merchants.
We value your opinion and ideas. You're encouraged to propose improvements and new solutions for your team and the platform. You will also have the freedom and opportunity to work on projects that will bring innovation and keep Adyen ahead of their competition. With freedom comes responsibility; you're expected to take ownership of the features you work on and be involved in designing, implementing, testing, and monitoring the new functionality to ensure a sustainable and secure solution. Testing methods range from unit testing to complete product testing via automated programmable robots.
At Adyen, we have a development team working with various technologies. Why Work With Us
At Adyen, everything we do is engineered for ambition. We started with payments, at a time when providers offered services based on a patchwork of systems built on outdated infrastructure. Ambition demanded more. So we set off to build a financial technology platform for the modern era, entirely in-house, from the ground up.
