As a Software Engineer II at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking team, you are part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm's state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As an emerging member of a software engineering team, you execute software solutions through the design, development, and technical troubleshooting of multiple components within a technical product, application, or system, while gaining the skills and experience needed to grow within your role. You will get to develop microservices using Java, SpringBoot, and modern JavaScript frameworks, collaborate with global stakeholders, and handle end-to-end solutions, requiring expertise in AWS, architecture, databases, testing frameworks, and strong communication skills.
Job responsibilities
- Develop complex functionality and work on all aspects of the software development life cycle.
- Build microservices for payment services using modern technology stacks.
- Handle solutions end-to-end, from development to production rollout.
- Collaborate closely with business partners and global stakeholders.
- Develop smart and scalable solutions to enhance user experience.
- Plan, design, test, debug, and deploy software solutions for infrastructure management, project management, capacity planning, and operational efficiencies.
- Analyze infrastructure problems and engineer software or automation solutions.
- Work with infrastructure engineers and architects to identify operational improvements.
- Automate complex functions to improve information delivery.
- Design and develop highly reliable, scalable server platforms.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
- Hands-on experience with Java and SpringBoot for developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Experience with modern JavaScript front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular, Ember).
- Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines. Experience in Cloud Services such as AWS
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases like Cassandra, Oracle, PostgreSQL etc.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Cucumber, Selenium, and JUnit.
- Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable, and efficient code using design patterns.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on multiple projects and manage many priorities. Demonstrated experience working with multiple teams in a global organization
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently or with multiple teams.
