Ethena’s suite of admin- and employee-friendly training and compliance tools help you check all the boxes and build a better workplace. We’re looking for a Software Engineer I to join our Engineering team! This role will report to an Engineering Manager, and will be responsible for building great software and be a key contributor to our product development team.
Our workforce is fully remote and your personal working hours can be based on your own timezone. All team-wide meetings are scheduled to be inclusive of all U.S./Canada time zones.
What you'll do
- Develop full-stack software using Typescript, MySQL, React, and Next.js
- Own features from the idea phase through to production
- Help us maintain a high-quality and nimble codebase
- Collaborate with other engineers, designers, product managers, and members of the wider Ethena team
What makes a great candidate
- Mastery of computer science fundamentals, either via a college degree, alternative schooling, or extensive practical experience.
- Some experience working on an agile software development team
- Experience with Javascript/Typescript, MySQL, React or Next.js
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, database migrations, logs & monitoring, and other production development concepts.
- An entrepreneurial mindset - we’re an early-stage startup so we’re not just looking for someone to run a playbook. We want you to help build it
- A “roll up your sleeves” mentality and comfort with ambiguity
- Passion for what we’re building here at Ethena
- An impeccable sense of humor
What’s going to be the hardest part
- Listening to a lot of feedback from your senior peers and using it as an opportunity to learn and grow quickly
Physical Demands
- This is sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing in a home office environment
