The Grab Safety team delivers safety features in the Grab super app. Our work impacts millions of people in Southeast Asia. Our goal is to deliver a safer everyday experience to our partners and consumers, and the community as a whole.

Get to know the Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer, Fullstack to develop safety features in our product. You will have a background in backend development or systems programming, in addition to fullstack experience, but if you believe you have what it takes then we'd love to hear from you either way. This role will report to our Senior Software Engineering Manager and work in a hybrid setting.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will design and improve our advanced services. The goal is to ensure that these services are always available and scalable, across all of Grab's diverse product range.
• You will improve and shape new design architectures. The focus here is on scalability and performance. of our services.
• You will work with product managers, data analysts and UI designers to implement products and test their impact to business metrics.
• You will work with our infrastructure team to build back-end services. Your collaborative efforts will help us build scalable back-end services that support our diverse range of products.
• You will conduct root cause analysis investigations to identify and rectify them.
• You will develop large-scale systems. Your work will ensure that our systems are always performing at their best, providing a seamless experience for our users.
• You will debug and make necessary modifications to our production software. Your efforts will ensure that our software is always running smoothly providing a reliable service to our users.

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• At least 1 year of experience as a software engineer, writing production code.
• Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
• Familiarity with front end web development
• Understanding of systems internals and networking.
• Proficiency in any programming language, and must be willing to work on Go
