Job Description

Department - Software Engineering Platforms

The Software Engineering Platforms department has the noble mission to build the full Swissquote ecosystem of client-facing products, web and mobile.

We aim at providing the best client journey and experience through our software solutions, releasing qualitative and solid applications, and contributing to the growth of Swissquote by developing innovative features.

By collaborating closely with the Product Strategy department, we claim to be the bridge between company’s long term strategy and the time to market solutions, being the core actors when giving life to an idea.

Teams Mission

We have today couple of positions opened in several teams who are working on different business products.

Banking

The Banking domain focuses on designing and developing the client relationship with bank, from the onboarding to his daily routines with us such as payments, debit cards activities and account management.

Trading and Financial Figures

The initial and core business of Swissquote, providing multi assets platforms and tools for casual and expert traders.

Institutional

An ecosystem of APIs, platforms and financial services for professional and institutional partners.

What will you do in any of these teams ?

• Collaborate across all stages of software development, from ideation to deployment, working closely with diverse teams
• Contribute significantly to the technical choices, conduct code reviews and perform testing
• Ensure high standards of code quality and continuously improve best practices
• Work closely with product owners to architect qualitative solutions and to enhance product functionality & user experience
• Provide support on the applications maintained by the team to guarantee client's satisfaction
• Participate in or drive complex projects with minimal oversight, delivering features iteratively
• Keep yourself up to date on the technologies of tomorrow

Qualifications

Enthusiastic about joining a challenging and innovative environment, you are passionate about information technologies and you thrive on learning and pushing your knowledge to the limit. You are a highly motivated developer, able to propose creative solutions to complex problems.

Your skills set :

• BSc or MSc in Computer Sciences
• At least 2 years of experience in development of production-ready applications
• Strong knowledge in front-end frameworks such as JavaScript, HTML5, React and TypeScript
• Knowledge of scalable software architectures including microservices, APIs (REST, GraphQL), container deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of source control system such as Git
• Knowledge of test-driven development: Jbehave, TestNG, selenium, etc.
• Knowledge or eager to learn Java and the open-source frameworks Maven, Spring and Hibernate
• Knowledge or eager to learn Linux, Docker, Jenkins, Tomcat and Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL, Redis)
• Familiar or willing to work with event-driven architectures
• Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Willing to work in a Disciplined Agile environment
• Fluent in English, French is an asset
