Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Software Engineer (Data) with a PhD in a relevant field to join our AI Platform team. This role is critical in developing scalable data systems, designing robust algorithms, and advancing our AI platform. If you are passionate about data engineering, machine learning, and solving complex challenges, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to process large datasets efficiently.
- Algorithm Design: Develop advanced algorithms for data processing, feature engineering, and predictive analytics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate data solutions into production systems.
- Scalability: Ensure that data systems are designed to handle growth in data volume and complexity.
- Research and Innovation: Leverage your expertise to stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and big data.
- Code Quality: Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, and contribute to code reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or a related computational field.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
- Expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines and ETL workflows.
- Solid understanding of machine learning concepts and tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with distributed systems and real-time data processing.
- Knowledge of advanced machine learning techniques, including deep learning.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Salary Range: 150k-180k
