About Bobby Tables:
Our team is at the heart of Smartly’s data-driven advertising platform. Bobby Tables is responsible for building and scaling the core reporting engine that powers Smartly’s AI-driven insights. Our service handles billions of data points across multiple ad-serving channels, enabling world-leading brands to make data-backed decisions and optimize their ad strategies.
Our Reporting product is used by 90% of our customers, providing an intuitive tool for analyzing campaign performance through powerful reporting and data visualization. You’ll tackle big challenges like managing massive datasets, creating scalable API solutions, and contributing to Smartly’s 99.95% uptime target for reporting engine reliability.

- Backend: Ruby with Active Record, Node.js, PostgreSQL with Citus extension
- Frontend: React
- Core: REST APIs, data ingestion services
What You'll Do:
- Work on both backend and frontend, crafting seamless reporting solutions for Smartly’s platform.
- Improve data visualization tools, making data more accessible for internal teams and clients.
- Help build scalable data solutions, optimizing performance and data integrity for the thousands of campaigns we support.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to shape the user experience and enhance product features.
- Share your expertise with your team, providing technical feedback and driving continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in developing scalable distributed systems and modern architectures.
- Strong backend experience, preferably with TypeScript and Node.js.
- Experience with complex SQL queries and relational databases; familiarity with Ruby is a plus!
- Solid understanding of software architecture and best practices.
- A strong communicator who thrives in cross-functional collaboration.
- Open to working from our Helsinki office 3 days a week.
