As a Senior Software Engineer on this team, you will build scalable systems that analyze cloud utilization, provide actionable insights and automatically optimize our systems for product and infrastructure teams. These will ensure efficiency as we grow across geographies and cloud providers.
What You'll Do:

  • Research, design and build systems to detect inefficiencies, anomalies or outliers in cloud infrastructure usage.
  • Collaborate across teams to understand their distributed systems and workflows. You will develop expertise in the unit economics of our products.
  • Generate and validate new hypotheses related to cloud usage by building and analyzing multidimensional cost and usage datasets


Who You Are:

  • An Engineer with 4+ years of demonstrated experience with high-quality software engineering using Python, Scala, Go etc.
  • Proficient in analyzing problems using technologies like SQL, Jupyter, Pandas, arrow
  • Looking to solve real-world challenges through building software solutions
  • Excited to work in a fast, high-growth, high-ambiguity environment and thrive on both autonomy and collaboration


Bonus Points:

  • Experience with Spark, Flink or Beam or similar big data processing frameworks
  • Experience with machine learning and data-science techniques
  • Experience with statistical modeling (e.g. using R)
  • Familiarity with Data Lakes or Data Warehouses such as Snowflake, Trino, Redshift, or BigQuery
