C/C++ RADAR SOFTWARE ENGINEER
Thales designs state-of-the-art radar systems and optical sensors that form part of a complete and integrated defense system. The product portfolio ranges from small portable radars, for example, for border or object monitoring to complex four-dimensional radars that can detect small objects at hundreds to thousands of miles away.
Within the software department, the radar core processing department is responsible for the software development of the optimal control and the digital processing functions in the sensors. In this respect, multi-disciplinary teams work together with specialists in the field of system engineering, functional sensor design and design and realization of real-time systems.
About the job
Within this radar core processing group, the complete radar software is developed. This includes various fields including the control of radar systems, the organization of radar transmissions and the processing of the digital information flow. The ultimate goal is to detect and classify specific objects, such as aircraft and drones, track them and display them on an operator console.
The software architecture is very modular and supports the development of robust and evolutionary systems. The development takes place in Agile teams supported by modern development tools. All development and maintenance of the architecture, the development street and the Agile process is carried out by the teams themselves.
