The job:

We are looking for engineers with experience working with any backend technology. You will be working with Go and Python in your day-to-day tasks. We believe that even if you have spent your career working with other programming languages, you can quickly pick up Python or Go. For us, it is more important to have someone adaptable and a quick learner of new stacks.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by transforming manual operations into streamlined, error-free processes, thereby driving operational excellence across the organization.

While your primary focus will be on backend development, having frontend skills will be valuable. This will allow you to contribute more broadly across the stack!

At Technology you will:

• Design and implement robust backend solutions to automate and optimize intricate business processes.
• Coordinate subprojects, building and maintaining distributed, clean, testable and data oriented applications.
• Improve service reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Own your code all the way to production with a self-service continuous delivery pipeline and production infrastructure.
• Collaborate closely with internal business teams to understand their unique challenges and requirements.
• Collaborate with our Infrastructure team to bring new tooling available for product teams
• Play a vital role in nurturing our engineering culture, emphasizing quality through peer-reviews, monitoring, and on-call best practices.
• Mentor junior developers to help them grow.
• Collaborate closely with the Data Science team on data oriented feature development.
• Developing simple and efficient frontend systems to ease agent workflows.

• Knowledge of common algorithms & data structures.
• Experience with common design and architectural patterns.
• Tool Selection Savvy, can evaluate, recommend, and implement the best tools and frameworks for each unique problem, ensuring high performance and sustainability.
• Ability to work on your own, but being a good team player too.
• Ability to understand and help to make great product and business choices.
• Ability to achieve results in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Knowledge of business and operations areas, such as Finance, Logistics, Marketing, etc… will be valuable and taken into consideration..
• Experience in developing medium/large-scale web applications and distributed systems in a production environment is also a plus.
