Get to know the Team
The Foundations Polaris team is dedicated to building a top-tier registration, authentication, and authorization system for all users in the Grab ecosystem, specifically tailored for SEA markets. Our daily mission is to ensure authentication mechanisms that provide proof of user identity while minimizing user friction.These mechanisms are optimized for mobile, web, and voice environments.
Get to know the Role
We are looking for experienced developers to join our team, reporting to the Software Engineering Manager. You'll collaborate with Engineers, UI Designers, and Data teams, while following best practices like code reviews, static analysis, feature-flagging, and semantic versioning of internal APIs.
This role is based in Petaling Jaya and hybrid
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- You will develop with GO to enhance service availability, scalability, and efficiency.
- You will collaborate on designing scalable, architectures.
- You will debug and modify complex production software.
- You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of the codebase
- You will participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization.
- You will work with the infrastructure team to grow backend services and investigate causes.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have at least 1 year of software engineering experience, with coding skills in any backend language and willing to work with Golang. Proficiency with relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (Redis, DDB) databases.
- You have experience developing large-scale, available services.
- You have experience with database concepts and data modeling
- You have experience with algorithms, data structures, microservices architecture, distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and message queuing systems.
- You have knowledge of software development best practices. This includes version control (specifically Git), unit testing, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
