Job Description
Get to Know the Team
The Transaction Platform team develops and optimizes Grab's Order Platform that supports the fast-growing Transport, GrabFood, and GrabMart business across online and offline channels. We adopt a microservice architecture on the backend and use multiple frontend techniques (e.g. IOS, ADR, Flutter, and Web) to serve our end users (e.g. Consumers, Drivers, Merchants, and Partners) across 8 countries. We generalize our microservices into platforms to improve the speed of the market of new products. We follow a system principle, in which systems keep improving upon different feedback signals without human intervention

You will be based onsite in Grab Jakarta Office.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Develop with the latest GO language to enhance the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Grab's services.
- Engage in code and design reviews to uphold high development standards and deliver quality software.
- Involve in capacity planning and performance optimization to boost system performance and user experience.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve designs and architectures for scalability and performance.
- Partner with the infrastructure team to build back-end services while ensuring system stability and quick issue resolution.
Qualifications
What Essential Skills You Will Need
- You have a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Solid Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures
- Understanding of system performance and scaling, with experience optimizing system performance.
- Proficiency in GO language, with the ability to write efficient and scalable code.
- Experience building software systems for delivery business or order systems, indicating familiarity with the domain and its unique challenges.
