Role Overview
As a Software Engineer, Back End Developer, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable systems with a focus on quality. You'll experiment with back-end technologies, primarily Java, and embrace DevOps tools. As part of the IT team, you'll build and enhance our payment products, responding to user needs with new features and innovations. Our tech stack varies by project, including Linux, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Java, Jersey, Spring, and DynamoDB. We use AWS for our infrastructure, with RESTful microservices on EC2, RDS/DynamoDB for database persistence, S3 for storage, AWS Lambda for serverless functions, and Kinesis and ElasticSearch for log streaming. You'll own your work from conception to production, contributing to the best payment system available.
Your mission:

Identify user needs. Utilize your analytical skills to understand and address user needs, ensuring our solutions are both effective and user-friendly.

Build and enhance products. Help build and add features to existing ones, contributing to the continuous improvement of Satispay's offerings.

Make an impact. Play a vital role in simplifying payments and improving accessibility, directly contributing to the mission of Satispay and positively impacting users across Europe.

Cross-department collaboration. Work hand-in-hand with various teams to develop and deliver features that meet the needs of our users.

Revolutionize the payment industry. Play a significant role in revolutionizing the payment industry, making transactions simpler and more accessible for people across Europe.
Your ideal profile:

Relevant education and experience. You have a degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, with at least 3 years of experience, preferably in microservices infrastructure and Agile methodologies. (Seniority will be defined during the selection process.)

Programming expertise. You have deep experience working with Java or other programming languages (C, C#, C++, GO) and a strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS is a plus).

Structured communication. You are able to communicate in a structured and convincing manner, adapting your style to build trust positively and professionally with various stakeholders.

Passion and language skills. You are passionate about FinTech or startup environments and fluent in English.
