WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR 

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Software Engineer 3 - 3D Pipeline to join our dynamic CP&I team at Nike. In this role, you will play a critical part in developing and maintaining the 3D pipelines and tools that drive our product design and innovation process. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of 3D graphics, animation, and visualization technologies, along with a passion for pushing the boundaries of what's possible in digital product creation.

  • Bachelor/Master degree in Computer Science or related technical subject area or
    equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience in 3D pipeline development and tool creation, ideally in a product design or visualization enviornment
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, or other relevant programming languages. 
  • Strong understanding of 3D graphics principles, animation, visualization technologies, and real-time rendering. 
  • Experience with 3D software packages (Maya, 3ds Max, Houdini, Blender) and game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity). 
  • Strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and development best practices. 
  • Familiarity with version control systems and software development best practices.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and a passion for technical excellence. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • A passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of digital product creation.
  • Experience working in the footwear or apparel industry is a plus
  • Experience with games engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity is a plus

WHO YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR 

  • Pipeline Development and Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain efficient, robust, and scalable 3D pipelines that integrate seamlessly with our existing design and production workflows.
  • Tool Development: Create custom tools and scripts to automate repetitive tasks, optimize processes, and empower designers and engineers to work more effectively.
  • Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to 3D pipelines, tools, and data management.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into effective 3D solutions.
  • Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in 3D graphics and visualization, and explore new ways to leverage them for product innovation.
  • Documentation: Develop clear and concise documentation for 3D pipelines, tools, and processes.
  • Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
