Our Enterprise Architecture team plays a critical role in bridging business and technology, focusing on both traditional enterprise architecture and forward-thinking innovation. As a Software Engineer 1, you will collaborate with principal architects and developers to develop, test, and deploy innovative solutions that address pain points across the organization. Your Responsibilities
- Develop and test proof-of-concept (PoC) solutions to tackle business and technical challenges.
- Work closely with senior architects to turn innovative ideas into executable solutions.
- Write secure, maintainable, and high-quality code using Python, Java, or TypeScript (Next.js).
- Deploy applications to AWS using Harness and implement cloud best practices.
- Participate in peer code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve technology bottlenecks.
- Assist in defining system architecture and best practices for application development.
- Research and experiment with emerging technologies to drive innovation.
- Develop and execute unit tests using PyTest, JUnit, or Jest.
- Contribute to technical documentation and maintain system knowledge base.
Your Experience, Skills & Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 1-2 years of experience in software development with exposure to full-stack development.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, Java, or TypeScript (Next.js).
- Experience with AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Harness, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
- Understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in scrum teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical solutions.
Your Team
This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Architecture. You will be part of a growing team of three engineers, with guidance and mentorship from three principal architects. You will collaborate regularly with cross-functional teams to bring innovative solutions to life.
Your Work Location
As our Software Engineer 1, you will be based in our Scottsdale, AZ technology hub. This world-class facility, opened in October 2021, fosters collaboration and innovation among top-tier technology professionals.
