Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and driven Software Development Engineer to join our team within the Platform Services and Emerging Technology's Developer Enablement DevRel group. Our mission is to empower developers with the tools, support, and resources they need to build high-quality applications that meet organizational standards. This includes enabling developers to create, test, and deploy software applications using Autodesk developer tools (e.g., CloudOS, Beacon).

The DevRel team fosters knowledge sharing, collaboration, and a community-focused culture. It empowers developers to take ownership of their work and contribute meaningfully to our success.

In this role, you will represent developer needs across APAC and EMEA regions by providing technical support, building and maintaining developer enablement solutions, and collaborating with partner platform teams to ensure the platform meets their needs. This position is based in India, and you will report to a Senior Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Help application teams standardize service deployment configurations and processes
  • Accelerate deployment durations for application teams
  • Assist application teams in onboarding to internal developer platforms
  • Provide technical support to developers using platform services
  • Assist developers in building and deploying applications
  • Troubleshoot issues and collaborate with development teams to resolve them
  • Ensure platform services align with developer requirements through collaboration with platform teams
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and training materials for platform services
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience managing resources within cloud computing platforms such as AWS
  • 5–7 years of experience automating the software development lifecycle using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, CloudBees, or Spinnaker
  • 5–7 years of experience with infrastructure provisioning and automation tools like Terraform
  • 5–7 years of experience with development, build, and deployment processes for workloads, including serverless, container-based, and enterprise applications
  • Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
  • Proven experience implementing and instrumenting observability practices and tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Dynatrace, or NewRelic
  • Experience creating technical documentation, including runbooks, engineering resources, and notes
  • Strong communication, coordination, and collaboration skills across teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience contributing to or participating in open-source software projects and communities
  • Enjoys speaking at conferences and engaging with developer communities
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer
