As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Moderna, you will work closely with development teams to ensure the reliability, performance, and scalability of our Webapp Platform. Partnering with Platform and DevOps teams, you will implement robust systems, processes, and tools to ensure seamless operations and exceptional user experiences. This role is an opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technology to build resilient infrastructure that supports Moderna’s transformative work in healthcare.
Here's Your key responsibilities will be:

Ensuring application reliability and scalability by designing and implementing monitoring, incident response, and remediation systems.

Utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi to provision and automate AWS resources, optimizing uptime and resource usage.

Managing and optimizing Kubernetes clusters to maintain stable environments for deployments.

Collaborating with DevOps teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines for smooth automation and deployment.

Integrating and managing observability systems (e.g., Dynatrace, Prometheus) to maintain robust monitoring and logging.

Developing processes for rapid incident management and contributing to post-mortem analyses and remediation.

Participating in capacity planning and implementing disaster recovery strategies.

Maintaining thorough and clear documentation for operational tools, processes, and incident responses.

Here’s What You’ll Need (Minimum Qualifications)

BS/BA degree in Computer Science or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience in SRE or DevOps roles.

Proficiency with AWS and IaC tools (e.g., Terraform or Pulumi) to manage and automate cloud infrastructure.

Strong experience with Kubernetes for deploying and managing scalable, resilient applications.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with automation tools.

Understanding of Observability and Monitoring Systems, including tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
