Our team is dedicated to establishing the groundwork for seamlessly integrating data, systems, and processes. This is made possible by a scalable Digital Infrastructure, aligning with Maersk's vision to be the Global Integrator of container logistics, connecting, and simplifying customers' supply chains.

As a Software Development Engineer within this organization, you will hold a crucial role showcasing both depth and breadth across key engineering competencies. This includes expertise in Systems Design and Architecture, Software Development, Testing, DevOps, Security, Analytics, Lifecycle Management, and more. Successful collaboration with subject domain experts from various fields is a key aspect of this role, contributing to the overall success of our innovative initiatives.
**Responsibilities: **
- Build new and exciting components in an ever-growing and evolving market technology to provide scale and efficiency.
- Develop high-quality, production-ready code that can be used by millions of users of our applications
- Make design decisions on the basis of performance, scalability, and future expansion.
- Work in a Hybrid Engineering model and contribute to all phases of SDLC including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing of the features.
- Build efficient components/algorithms on a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud environment
- Excellent understanding and experience of Python, Git, Kubernetes, Terraform, Keras,, PyTorch, Kubeflow, Docker, ClearML, Kubeflow, MLFlow etc.
- Hands-on experience with API frameworks like Springboot, Django, Fastapi etc.
- Design and implement software applications, libraries, and APIs that integrate machine learning components seamlessly.
- Collaborate to understand modelling requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Implement software engineering best practices, including version control, code reviews, and testing methodologies.
- Architect and optimize software systems for scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models into software products.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues across the entire technology stack, from data pipelines to user interfaces.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions, technical discussions, and contribute innovative ideas to drive continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is advantageous.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related field.
- Experience working in a research environment
- Candidates wishing to work on ML/AI projects should have a good understanding of deep learning and large-scale ML concepts
- Candidates with experience in Data Science and shipping ML models into production will be preferred for AI/ML projects
- Candidates wishing to work on Systems projects should have a good understanding and experience in systems software (e.g. database systems or distributed systems)
- At least 5 years of industry experience working on machine learning or systems software
