Broadridge is Growing! We are seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test to join a stellar team in contract capacity. As a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and tools. You will work closely with software engineers, project teams, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. Your expertise in both development and testing will be crucial in creating efficient and scalable testing solutions that help identify defects early in the software development lifecycle.
Work-Mode: This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, integration, performance, and regression testing.
- Test Framework Development: Build and enhance test frameworks and tools that can support automated test execution and reporting.
- Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers to understand product functionality and design tests that cover a wide range of scenarios.
- Continuous Integration (CI): Integrate automated tests into continuous integration systems to ensure early detection of issues.
- Performance Testing: Implement performance and load testing to ensure software meets scalability and performance requirements.
- Code Quality: Advocate for and enforce best practices in code quality and testing standards.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance to QE engineers on best practices for automation and testing.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience as QE Engineer, or SDET
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on quality and project timelines.
- Experience in Gherkin (BDD /TDD) using Cucumber/JBehave.
- Proficient knowledge and experience in Gradle, Maven, JIRA, Confluence, ALM, Xray or ALM or any relevant Test management tool
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, or others.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Travis CI.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (unit testing, integration testing, functional testing, etc.).
- Knowledge of performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
- Experience with API testing and tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
- Good understanding of database testing and working knowledge of SQL for validating data.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and testing in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Security testing experience or knowledge of security testing frameworks.
- Experience working with microservices architecture.
- Certification in test automation or software development (e.g., ISTQB, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, etc.).
Hourly range $60-70/hr
