Overview of the role:

We have an exciting new role in our development team for someone who is passionate about C++ and Python, eager to learn, and enjoys tackling complex challenges. You’ll be working closely with a supportive team on a key project, where collaboration and continuous learning are at the heart of what we do.

This role follows a hybrid approach to working, allowing you to combine working from home with working in our modern offices. These discussions are between you and your manager to find the best pattern for you both, while recognising that quality time together is essential for keeping us mission-aligned.

What you’ll do:

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

• Developing and optimizing high-performance systems using C++ and Python.

• Collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver key features and improvements.

• Learning and working with AWS and Kafka to enhance the project’s capabilities (we’ll teach you if needed).

• Writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Participating in code reviews to ensure standard methodologies are followed.

• Debugging and troubleshooting issues as they arise.

• Communicating progress and challenges effectively with your team.

• Working in a flexible, hybrid environment, where teamwork and continuous improvement are valued.

What you’ll bring:

• Solid experience in C++ development with knowledge of Python.

• A problem-solving attitude and a passion for writing efficient, reliable code.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies like AWS, Kafka, and more (we’ll support you in this).

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.

• A proactive approach to identifying and fixing issues.

• Enthusiasm for contributing to high-impact projects in a dynamic environment.

• A strong interest in poker, with familiarity or curiosity about Game Theory Optimal (GTO) strategies.

• A desire to grow professionally and take on new challenges.

• B.Sc. or better in Computer Science or equivalent

Nice to have (but not required):

• Experience with AWS, Kafka, JavaScript, or Django.

• Familiarity with cloud computing and distributed systems.
