Job Description
Required Skills:
- .NET Framework (versions 4.7/4.8) including a working knowledge of both C# and VB.NET
- Experience implementing user interfaces based on WPF
- Experience working with SQL Server based databases
- Experience working with Azure DevOps or other similar systems
- Experience working with the GIT source control system
- An ability to learn things quickly and to both retain that knowledge and to share it with other team members
- Experience of working on large scale, critical software solutions where performance, resiliency and ease of use are all key)
- An ability to think logically, solving challenging problems to make things work
- A proven history for collaborating as part of a team, working together to complete team goals
- A keen eye for detail, ensuring all conditions of acceptance are implemented and working and any potential edge cases have been identified
- An ability to monitor the amount of time you have spent doing something, ensuring you do not go over budget and that you escalate and ask for help when needed
- An ability to take the initiative and work independently as part of a team, without relying heavily on team support once you’ve worked on an area of the code base
- Experience of all aspects of the development lifecycle, including design, development, developer testing, investigating problems and bug fixing
- An ability to communicate clearly and openly within a team
- A key mind for continuous improvement, recognising that nothing can be perfect and there is always something that can be improved
Desirable -
- Knowledge of C/C++
- Experience of working with RabbitMQ
- Experience of working with blue light emergency services
- An interest in progressing towards leading teams, either through supporting the scrum masters or through mentoring and line management.
