Software and Systems Configuration Control Lead

• Oversee the integration of simulation models and software into DoD systems, ensuring compliance with configuration management practices.

• Coordinate with project management teams and test engineers to ensure configuration control and integration throughout the system lifecycle.

• Monitor adherence to security standards and configuration control processes to ensure systems meet DoD requirements.

• Ensure all simulation models and software are fully documented, audited, and traceable according to DoD standards.

• Lead efforts to automate deployment and integration processes for M&S systems across different platforms.

• Lead cross-functional teams, often working with government agencies, contractors, and external defense stakeholders.

• Ability to coordinate between multiple teams, including engineers, simulation experts, and military personnel, to ensure configurations are well-managed and integrated.

• Identifying and resolving issues related to simulation models, system integrations, or configuration discrepancies.

Minimum Requirements Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering (e.g., Systems, Aerospace, Electrical), Information Technology, or a related field.

• Additional coursework or certifications related to Modeling and Simulation (M&S), Defense Technology, or Systems Engineering is often beneficial.

• 5+ years of experience in software configuration management and systems integration, with a focus on Model and Simulation (M&S) systems.

• Certified Configuration Management Professional (CCMP): A key certification for configuration management, especially in defense projects.

• DoD Security Certifications: e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or specific DoD cybersecurity certifications

• Hands-on experience with military systems integration and working on DoD or federal government projects.

• Familiarity with DoD architectures and standards for simulation (e.g., HLA (High-Level Architecture), DIS (Distributed Interactive Simulation), SISO standards).

• Experience working with distributed simulation environments and interoperability across various defense systems.

• Experience in configuration control and managing complex systems across multiple domains, ensuring compliance with DoD regulations (e.g., NIST standards, FISMA, DIACAP, RMF).

• Familiarity with networked simulation environments for joint exercises, distributed simulation, and real-time systems.

• Expertise in cloud environments (e.g., AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and integration with defense systems when applicable.

• DoD Standards and Regulations: Knowledge of DoD directives, DODI (Department of Defense Instructions), MIL-STD (Military Standards), and FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).

• Familiarity with DoD testing and evaluation processes, especially for simulation models used in training, mission rehearsal, and system integration testing.

• Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
