FanDuel is looking for an experienced Social Strategy Manager to scale growth for FanDuel TV’s (FDTV) studio based shows across different social platforms. FanDuel TV produces and distributes a wide variety of racing and sports content including 24/7 linear channels, studio programming (Up & Adams, Run It Back) and live bet-able sports. 

The social strategy manager supports the distribution team bysetting the holistic social media approach for FDTV social handles on our studio slate, including Up & Adams and Run It Back, across platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, X and TikTok. This role requires a sharp editorial eye, a deep understanding of the sports audience and their behavior across platforms, and the ability to craft and execute content strategies that deliver measurable growth. The ideal candidate will operate as the informed captain for best practices across each social media platform and take ownership of cohesive social media strategies, while understanding how to best engage individual audience segments.  

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership and significant contributions to the brand growth of a multi-title sports brand via social channels. This role balances both editorial judgement and firm understanding of analytical analysis across a variety of video channels.  

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Define and execute the editorial social media strategy for specific FanDuel TV channels to ensure maximum reach and engagement with our content across platforms 
  • Translate platform-level best practices, algorithm shifts and competitive intelligence into strategic recommendations for short and long form entertainment  
  • Lead the editorial calendar and production of social-first unscripted content and cut downs, while having editorial judgement to curate socially relevant moments in a fast-paced environment 
  • Support the overall content distribution mission by refining a native social approach, being mindful of a larger distribution footprint with both live and evergreen content 
  • Develop a strong understanding of the FanDuel TV community, distilling unique insights from the audience segments across titles and social platforms 
  • Partner with distribution leadership to define and track content performance benchmarks and KPIs, transforming social insights and brand strategy into tangible social creative 
  • Collaborate across production, marketing, and partnership teams to elevate the FDTV brand across in a crowded sports media landscape 
  • Identify opportunities to maximize content reach while being resourceful  
  • Manage paid video campaigns in partnership with marketing team, to ensure optimal allocation of spend to grow audience for FanDuel TV properties  
  • Lead social media specialists and agency partners, providing feedback and publishing support  
  • Ability to balance proactive planning for long term audience goals with reactive sensibility for engaging a passionate fanbase  
  • Must be able to prioritize and handle several projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment while adhering to shifting deadlines. 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 5+ years of experience in sports content social media, with direct experience leading editorial strategy  
  • At least 2 years in a leadership role 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred 
  • Experience with content production tools, such as Photoshop, Premiere and live clipping tools 
  • A great colleague and teammate — someone that people want to work with because of their humility and passion 
  • Portfolio of social-first content or extensions, especially those across sports entertainment content, that drove measurable brand growth 
  • A strategic mindset and structured approach to problem solving, with ability and eagerness to effectively balance the big-picture strategic work with execution 
  • Familiarity with influencer/creator campaigns and reactive content strategies

The applicable salary range for this position is $102,000 - $139,700 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
