As a Social Media Specialist, you will be part of the Spain Brand Team reporting to the Senior Brand and Content Manager collaborating with internal and external stakeholders on the development and management of the local content strategy.

This role will be responsible for developing the content strategy of the brand's current social media profiles. It will be a brand guardian and will effectively collaborate with all other stakeholders in the marketing team to give visibility to the content and products.

The main focus of this role will be to increase our visibility and engagement with customers through social media, as well as constantly seeking new opportunities for social media growth.

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring best in class brand exposure on all internal and external activations
  • Managing Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, X (Twitter) accounts
  • Writing SEO and betting tips articles for the Betway Insider blog
  • Ensuring compliance with all current regulations in Spain
  • Creating content templates in collaboration with the design team to develop the strategy
  • Creating hero campaign briefings for the design team
  • Leading the relationship with third party providers such as designers, video production companies, social media accounts, etc.
  • Collaborating in “thinking out of the box” and help the brand team to innovate in social media
  • Championing the brand both internally and with partners, ensuring that all activity is aligned with compliance standards / guidelines
  • Regular monthly and weekly reporting (performance, KPIs, engagement rates, CTR)
  • Running quarterly social media reviews
  • Monthly competitors’ analysis and market trends.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Experience of working in an innovative brand team and coordinating different stakeholders
  • Extensive knowledge of the sports world, particularly in Football, Basketball, and Tennis
  • Experience managing social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook, X (Twitter) or any other
  • Experience managing YouTube channels
  • Experience with software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Express, Canva, or similar
  • Experience in video content creation
  • Creative thinking and ability to collaborate with other stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
  • Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
  • Educated to degree level with a qualification in Marketing
  • Experience in activating sponsorship properties
  • Excellent project management and presentation skills
  • Analytic mindset
  • Knowledge of other sports such as MMA or Padel.
