Social First Content Creator
As the Social First Content Creator, you'll be working with one of our clients - one of the largest technology companies in the world and helping them with growing their social media credentials across different platforms and target audiences.
Your mission will be to elevate their social media presence across various social platforms and diverse target audiences in the APAC region. You’ll act as a one-person creative engine, a true social media aficionado with a keen understanding of cultural & social trends. You’ll have the ability to transform opportunities into compelling, social-native creative content rapidly. Your role is pivotal in shaping and enhancing our client’s social creative quality and credibility. You’ll provide actionable, transformative creative insights to elevate their content and bring creative magic to a diverse range of products from hardware to Generative AI.
We’re looking for someone passionate and deeply immersed in technology and the social-first world, someone who stays ahead of social trends and is quick to react to viral moments. You’ll enjoy the freedom to experiment, to create, and to directly shape the social narrative. You will serve as a vital link between global social creative teams and local marketing teams, ensuring authentic, social-native content for both ongoing social media activity and integrated social-first campaigns.
Role:
Ideation:
- Identify community-centric, insight-driven, culture-moving social content ideas that align with the brand's distinct voice.
- Monitor social and cultural trends to uncover untapped opportunities, prototype and A/B test new content ideas that support campaign go-to-market strategies.
- Provide insights into the APAC social and creator landscape, ensuring content resonates deeply with regional audiences.
Conceptualisation:
- Collaborate closely with regional and local social teams and product marketing managers to spot and capitalise on emerging opportunities. Act as an idea generator, rapidly developing unique, disruptive, and unconventional social creative concepts.
- Partner with strategy, analytics, and media teams to refine creative concepts, ensuring they align closely with business and brand objectives and KPIs.
Production:
- Demonstrate a bias for action, being resourceful and efficient in leading end-to-end content creation, production, editing, design, and launch with support from internal teams.
- Balance creative agility with the delivery of high-quality content within corporate brand approval frameworks and processes.
- Lead the ideation, development, and full production cycle of high-entertainment-value, on-brand social native content, encompassing storyboarding, art direction, copywriting, and video creation.
- Own the entire process of social video content production, from concept ideation and client pitching to editing and export for publication.
- Create dynamic and compelling visual effects animation, simulations, particle systems, and shaders, meeting all aesthetic, design, and technical requirements.
- Stay updated on content-related digital and social best practices, and industry trends to identify engagement opportunities.
- Develop and drive new content ideas to achieve social media targets and objectives, presenting them effectively to internal stakeholders.
- Collaboratively review scripts and briefs, providing creative input to develop comprehensive storyboards.
You:
- 8+ years of experience in social native content creation or related coverage with a significant follower base on relevant platforms, preferably with a mix of in-house and agency creative production experience
- Excellent creative judgment and hands-on skills in social native design, illustration, video editing, copywriting, and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, video editing software, native platform tools), and eagerness to test AI tools.
- A good understanding of motion graphics, who knows your Adobe Creative Suite well, and you’re happy to bounce between all kinds of software (Photoshop and Illustrator) depending on the occasion.
- An excellent storyteller who can create engaging, conversational, and culturally resonant editorial narratives through social content in a simple, coherent manner.
- Social media portfolio filled with examples that showcase work that has been created for multiple formats and platforms from ideation, and conceptualisation to production for global brands.
- Some knowledge and experience with colour grading and treatment are a huge plus.
- Proficiency in using recording equipment and shooting high-quality videos.
- Proficiency in producing high-quality visual effects.
- Knowledgeable about changes in social media algorithms and platform nuances.
- Experienced with corporate brand operations in a matrixed, global/APAC environment.
- Solid project management experience and commitment to quality and attention to detail
- Experience working with creative agencies and internal teams to drive media execution
- Passionate about working as part of a larger team to deliver on a common goal
- Exceptional verbal and written English communication and presentation skills and, ideally, fluent in another Asian language to support the projects spanning across JAPAC.
