Job Description

Job Purpose:

The ASPICE Process Quality Assurance is responsible for ensuring compliance with the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) framework within the organization's product development processes, achieving at least ASPICE Level 2 compliance. This role involves defining, implementing, and maintaining quality management processes and standards to meet ASPICE requirements. 

Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed):

Process Definition and Implementation:

  • Review development processes in accordance with ASPICE requirements and industry best practices.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to establish process tailoring guidelines based on project characteristics and organizational objectives.

  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality across the software development lifecycle.

    Quality Management System Maintenance:

  • Establish and maintain a robust quality management system (QMS) aligned with ASPICE standards and guidelines.

  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to evaluate compliance with ASPICE processes and identify areas for improvement.

  • Document and track quality metrics, non-conformities, and corrective/preventive actions to ensure continuous process improvement.

    Process Assessment and Maturity:

  • Perform ASPICE process assessments to evaluate the maturity and effectiveness of software development processes.

  • Analyze assessment findings and collaborate with stakeholders to develop action plans for addressing gaps and enhancing process maturity.

  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on implementing recommended process improvements and achieving ASPICE compliance.

Training and Knowledge Management:

  • Develop and deliver training programs on ASPICE principles, processes, and tools to enhance organizational capabilities and awareness.

  • Facilitate knowledge sharing sessions and workshops to disseminate best practices, lessons learned, and industry trends related to ASPICE compliance.

  • Maintain documentation repositories and knowledge bases to support ongoing learning and development within the organization.

    Risk Management and Analysis:

  • Identify and assess risks associated with development processes, products, and project deliverables.

  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address potential threats to project success and product quality.

  • Monitor risk indicators and implement proactive measures to minimize the impact of identified risks on project outcomes.

    Stakeholders Collaboration:

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their ASPICE requirements and expectations for software development.

  • Collaborate with external partners to establish mutually beneficial quality assurance processes and standards.

  • Participate in customer audits and reviews to demonstrate compliance with ASPICE requirements and address customer concerns.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, process improvement, and compliance management within the automotive or software industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of ASPICE framework, standards, and guidelines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex processes and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Proficiency in relevant tools and technologies for process modeling, documentation, and assessment.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certification in ASPICE (e.g., Automotive SPICE Assessor) is highly desirable.
