Smartly Launchpad: DevOps Track – Launch Your Career in DevOps Engineering with Smartly's Launchpad Program!
Smartly Launchpad is a 6-month intensive learning experience designed for rising DevOps engineers looking to jumpstart their careers! This program is tailored for recent graduates and students in the final stages of their studies, with the goal of transitioning into a full-time role upon successful completion.
Expect to work as a full-fledged team member from day one, taking ownership of product development and solving real-world challenges. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment, surrounded by experienced engineers who are eager to mentor and support you throughout the program.
About the Role
We are looking for a Launchpad Engineer to join Team Vulcan, the force behind the tools that build the tools. Our team plays a critical role in Smartly’s engineering ecosystem, working on developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines (primarily using GitHub Actions), and managing DevBox, our Kubernetes-based development environment management tool. As part of our team, you’ll directly impact the efficiency and productivity of Smartly developers across the company.

Work hands-on as a software developer, contributing to projects that support the world's largest online advertisers.

What We’re Looking For…

Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for development.

Some experience in web development (internships, personal projects, or coursework).

Recent graduation or final-stage studies in a relevant field (computer science, software engineering, etc.).

A genuine interest in infrastructure, DevOps, or developer tooling.

Understanding of typed languages and testing.

Ability to work in a hybrid capacity from our Helsinki office (3 days a week).

Availability to work full-time (37.5 hours per week) for the entire 6-month program.

Proficiency in English, as it’s our company’s official language.

Practicalities

Application process: Initial recruiter call → Live coding interview → Interview with a potential team lead.

Program start date: Ideally early May or June 2025.

Duration: Six months, with a strong possibility of a permanent contract afterward if everything goes well.

Compensation: €3,000–€3,200/month + benefits (including lunch and wellness support).
