Printpack is seeking the most qualified candidate to fill the position of Slitting Supervisor in our VR2 Facility located in Villa Rica GA. Reporting to the Finishing Department Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the shift ensuring that production targets and deadlines are achieved, and that key performance indicators are met while maintaining compliance with the Company’s safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
The opening is on Night Shift 8:00pm – 8:00am on a 3/2 Schedule
Salaried position includes option for overtime pay and $100 weekly night shift premium.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is required

Minimum of 3 - 5 years production experience needed

Proven ability to effectively manage people and responsibilities

Strong computer skills needed, PRISM knowledge is a plus

Excellent organizational and multitasking skills needed
Internal Candidates:
- No disciplinary actions of a written or above the past 6 months
- Last performance review was rated “"Performer" or higher
- Must have been in current position for longer than 120 days
Job Responsibilities:
• Foster Printpack’s safety-first and drive awareness at all levels.
• Responsible for monitoring all aspects of production activities performed during his/her shift, with careful attention to productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Identifies and resolves production issues in an efficient and timely manner and assists in the resolution of production problems.
• Ensures products are made within customer specifications and inspects finished product to ensure quality.
• Assists in the development of procedures and techniques for reducing down-time and manufacturing delays.
• Works closely with associates to develop, recommend, and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product to reduce and prevent customer complaints.
• Communicates daily production goals and expectations to operators on all shifts and documents and reports production results required.
• Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Quality procedures.
• Conducts regular team meetings for communication of safety, quality, and production changes and goals.
• Works closely with other production supervisors to ensure consistency across shifts.
• Manage inventory through daily cycle counts.
