Position Summary

The Strategic Workforce Planning & HR Innovation Analyst will play a pivotal role in supporting the design and execution of enterprise solutions for strategic workforce planning skills enablement. and play a pivotal part in shaping our tactical and strategic workforce planning strategies ensuring we have the right people in the right roles with the right skills.
As a member of the HR Innovation, Strategy & Operations team, the Strategic Workforce Planning & HR Innovation Analyst will partner with HR COEs (Talent Acquisition, Learning, Talent Management, etc), HBRPs, IT, senior business leaders and 3rd party vendors to identify, recommend & implement strategic workforce planning, career development, and workforce readiness solutions. As this is a new function, we will be standing up the foundation, new processes, and ongoing management structures to drive and influence change across BMS.
This role will support the strategic workforce planning process by analyzing workforce data regarding data-driven decisions and insights. The Strategic Workforce Planning & HR Innovation Analyst will require handling sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion, while consistently demonstrating BMS’s core values.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Workforce Planning Manager (30%): Develops and implements workforce planning strategies to ensure the organization has the right talent to meet future business goals. Support implementation of the Strategic Workforce Planning framework and approach that ensures workforce readiness, aligns workforce investments with business objectives, and enhances market competitiveness.

Support scaling a skills-based Strategic Workforce Planning function to enable future-ready workforce.

Support identification of skill gaps within teams to create development and workforce solutions to close critical gaps in alignment with BMS strategic priorities.

Partner and consult with HRBPs and COEs to build multi-year workforce action plans aligned to business objectives. Create future skills readiness strategies and roadmaps. Help business leaders and other key partners proactively plan for talent needs based on skills demand and skills supply required to meet strategic objectives.

Build collaborative partnerships with the People Analytics team, HRBPs, Finance, BU Leaders, and BIT to develop and implement workforce planning solutions. Support partnership across the Business, Finance, and HROM to ensure alignment with process and plans of action.

Collaborate with leaders across HR as we evolve towards skills-based talent practices and stay informed on industry trends and best practices in workforce planning.
Workforce Planning Analyst (25%): Supports the strategic workforce planning process by analyzing workforce data, forecasting future talent needs, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.

Advance data-driven decision-making, leverage analysis, insights, and predictive models to identify workforce risks and opportunities and make recommendations for workforce risk mitigation strategies.

Support the Product Manager of the Eightfold skills intelligence platform in the continuous improvement and enhancement of the platform including integration with the BMS HR Tech Stack.

Partner with HRIT, People Services and vendor partners to learn about and incorporate product enhancements, drive their implementation, and support their maintenance.

Partner with People Services, HRBPs and other HR functions to socialize system functionality, how it can be integrated into relevant processes.

Support the enterprise governance framework development and ongoing management of our BMS skills taxonomy and skills-driven talent processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders across the Business to support the identification and mapping of skills to respective jobs in the architecture.
Career Pathing Specialist (25%): Develops and manages career pathing frameworks to help employees understand and navigate their career progression within the organization.

Support solutions to enhance workforce readiness and career mobility centered on skills-driven career growth, career experiences, and building a future-ready workforce aligned with our strategic priorities. Support continued growth, evolution, and innovation of the enterprise career development framework and strategy.

Contribute to skills-based career development strategy and evolution of new use cases that emerge from the business to drive further impact of the skills and talent marketplace.

Help build a skills-based approach via development planning, learning processes and solutions, mentoring, coaching.

Support policy and governance related activities including works council discussions, legal review, and ongoing data privacy requirements.
Employee Experience Specialist (20%): Focuses on improving the overall employee experience, including career development opportunities and skills growth, to enhance engagement and retention.

Advise across the organization, such as with PBRG leads, EIC, and other development program leads to increase employee engagement and retention levels.

Support the Skills Change Management Lead on skills initiatives, collaborating on how to maximize use of the Talent Intelligence Platform & the deployment of skills-based talent practices.

Measure impact via analysis of engagement scores and other relevant data.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university required.
-
5+ years of relevant work experience required.
-
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in workforce planning, people analytics or a related field of skills taxonomies and integration of skills into talent practices.

Strong strategic and analytical skills with a deep understanding of how to translate data into actionable business insights.

Experience with HR and Talent Process Design.

Experience with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) methodologies including Agile or Waterfall.

Hands on experience with implementing HR Technology and Solutions, familiarity with Talent Intelligence Platforms (Eightfold, Phenom, Gloat, etc.) a plus. Experience with AI/ML technologies a plus.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.

Consulting experience a plus.

Possess a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, discretion, good judgment, and demonstrate core BMS values.
