Site Services Operative

Our Site Services team are now looking for a Site Service Operative to support the maintenance function in our state-of-the-art hub in Thatcham. 

This position works 5 days our of 7, with working hours of 7am-3pm Monday to Friday and regular weekend work 7am-3pm.  

About the Role 

This is a physical role which covers a large expanse of our Distribution Centre. Manual handling experience is preferred. Forklift License is also preferred, however not essential as training can be provided. This role is an all-weather role, working in varying temperatures and weather conditions.

In this role you will be responsible for:

•    Assisting with the Harrods recycling programme as a site specialist for the Thatcham operation.
•    Maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse and yards using provided equipment to uphold high standards of housekeeping and health and safety.
•    Efficiently sorting materials and recyclables across both the main and satellite sites
•    Handling the unloading, sorting, stacking, and repairing of pallets onto trailers
•    Collaborating with internal and external colleagues to ensure seamless operations.
•    Supporting the Site Services Team in various day-to-day tasks.
•    Aiming to achieve and maintain a recycling percentage of 90% or higher.

About You 

As a Site Services Operative, you will have a strong work ethic and written and verbal communication. You will be hard working, reliable, quick thinking and have the ability to take initiative. You will be a valuable team player who thrives on getting the job done to a high Harrods standard. You will have great timekeeping ability with flexibility to support the team across multiple functions with the team end goal in mind.
