Site Reliability Engineer

About us:

Daedalean is a Zürich-based startup founded by experienced engineers who want to completely revolutionize air travel within the next decade. We combine computer vision, deep learning, and robotics to develop full “level-5” autonomy for flying vehicles.

Your role:

To make sure we can smoothly process the data from scaling up of our operations as well as maintaining the site fully operational.

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of systems, networking, and (cyber)security. 
• Hands-on experience with Ceph and Kubernetes.
• You can read code as necessary (internal and external sources)
• Experience administering Linux environment 
• Experience with containers/virtualization (docker for end machines, Kubernetes and Proxmox for servers), monitoring (prometheus, exporters and grafana), configuration management (ansible) and logging (loki, grafana).
• Comfortable working in a regulated environment (Aerospace) under ISO standards.
• Knowledge of MacOS, Linux and Windows management tools.
• Not being afraid to roll up your sleeves and help with a broken laptop.

Responisibilities:

• Managing our internal systems (mix of CentOS, Ubuntu, and Windows servers, Managed Windows, MacOS laptops, Unmanaged Linux laptops), and our SaaS (Google Workspace, AWS, Jira, etc).
• Supporting users (wifi's not working, update failed, coffee machine is broken).
• Working in a regulated environment (Design Organization/ISO).
• Helping Engineering create an observable environment which can be monitored.
• Advising/Helping the CISO improve the security of our systems and processes.
