The Site Reliability Engineer will be part of the Platform Operations Global Team, responsible for managing cloud-based infrastructure and services for the custom Java-based and third-party applications stack in KION Group IT. The person will take responsibility for developing, operating, and improving our infrastructure and services, contributing significantly to the IT Services delivered by KION Group IT
To be successful in this role, your proven track record will enable you to deliver against the following key performance areas:
- Design and develop cloud-based infrastructure.
- Act as a facilitator between our stakeholders and development teams.
- Being SME and Automatize key components, application deployments, and repeating jobs.
- Ensure the platform availability, stability, and compliance with KION quality standards.
- Monitor and operate 3rd Party and custom Java application stack.
- Improve KION IT Services reliability:
- Facilitate blameless postmortems,
- Derive measures,
- Maintain and work on the issues backlog.
- Evolve Monitoring dashboards and alerts. Measure reliability based on SLOs.
- Manage the onboarding of new 3rd party / SaaS solutions to the Team.
- Take over custom-built applications from Projects to the Team.

Your Skills and Expertise:
- 1 year of working experience in a similar position (SRE/DevOps or related).
- Ability to debug, optimize, and automate routine tasks and deployments.
- Familiarity with setting up and enhancing product monitoring.
- Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions on your own.
- Demonstrable Agile mindset and willingness to learn and develop.
- Fluent English, written and spoken (German is a plus).
