Overview
Our organization within Deutsche Bank is Compliance Production and Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Services. The organization is in process of transforming itself using Google Cloud, and we are responsible for creating SRE capabilities for multiple Compliance applications hosted on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As an SRE Engineer, you will be working to improve the reliability of application hosted on GCP environment & to improve the operational efficiency by automation and setting up monitoring, identifying TOIL within the teams existing systems and processes, recommending, and implementing automated solutions to reduce TOIL and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team.

What You’ll Do
-
Working as part of Agile team to define target state infrastructure architecture of applications from reliability standpoint

Develop, improve, and maintain internal operations tools, such as deployment, monitoring, statistics, platform management tools, etc

Automation and optimization of application build and deployment process and perform deployment on testing and production environments

Continuous integration/continuous deployment or development (CI/CD) pipeline setup and management

Approach support with a proactive attitude, desire to seek root cause, in-depth analysis, and strive to reduce inefficiencies and manual efforts
Skills You’ll Need
-
Moderate experience in providing the hands-on Information Technology (IT) support and interacting with applications and end users as well as design and implementation of automated workflows with experience of reducing TOIL in an software development life cycle (SDLC) or IT operations environment

Engineering Degree/Post graduation from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or IT-related discipline

Good understanding on Global Control Programme (GCP), Google Cloud Monitoring, and SCM Tools: Git, GitHub, SonarQube with fair understanding of ITSM process

Hands on in defining and creation of CUJ, SLO, SLI, Error Budgeting based on NFR with strong hands on in scripting like Bash, PowerShell, Python, Ansible

Strong Knowledge on IAAC – Terraform, GitHub, Docker Images and good knowledge on containers like Kubernetes
Skills That Will Help You Excel

Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience and good analytical and problem-solving skills

Able to train, coach, and mentor and know where each technique is best applied

Understanding of architecture and implementation of three tier web applications

Experience with GCP or another public cloud provider to build applications

Experience in an investment bank, financial institution or large corporation using enterprise hardware and software
Expectations
It is the Bank’s expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the Jacksonville office in accordance with the Bank’s hybrid working model.

The salary range for this position in Jacksonville, FL is $78,000 to $111,800. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
