As a Site Reliability Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Cybersecurity and Technology Controls , you will be responsible for the security configuration and security tools used to harden all of the Employee Compute assets, ranging from VDI, laptops and desktops on both Windows, Mac and Linux platforms, by using PowerShell, and Splunk dashboards you will create automation to remove toil and provide observability across multiple AD Domains.
Job responsibilities
- Understands SRE best practices
- Deploys GPO updates through automation adhering to Controls as Code best practices
- Monitors dashboards for visibility across the environment
- Provides security prevention and detection to Employee Compute devices
- Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members, and prioritizes diverse representation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science related disciplines
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience .
- In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
- Experience planning, designing, building and implementing enterprise level security engineering products and solutions in a public cloud environment (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of secure software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins), version control tools (BitBucket, Github), managing and tracking work using management tools like Jira
- Experience building security engineering products and solutions
- Knowledge of the Windows Workstation OSs (Windows 10/Windows 11 and Virtual platforms).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Experience within Cyber Security is preferred
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience in finance industry is a huge plus
- Knowledge of either macOSX and/ Linux Desktop would be helpful
